  1. Both the Republican system of Ancient Rome and the Republican system of government in America have there unique differences that sets them apart; However, they do have a number similaties as well. For example the Republican system of Acient Rome and the Republican system in the United States each execute the method of having an Executive and Legislative branch of government. Each system also executes a system of checks and balances where each branch has its individual power but can check another branch so they dont become too powerful. In both systems of governemnt the Head Executive can be removed by Legislators as well. Yes theres two systems do have similarities as shown but they have their fundemental differences too. The top individuals or leaders who watch over Rome are considered Consuls in which there are two of them who each serve for 1 year. In the United States governemnt there is one indivudual who looks over American which is described as the president who serves in 1 or 2 4 year terms. It would seem to be more effective to have a president that serves 1-2 4 year terms which could benefit the people and the president. It would seem to be difficult to have a different leader each year dealing with the same affairs for a nation, in which viewpoints can be changed or altered with each leader. These shifting viewpoints can be proven to be difficlut to handle with each leader as well.

2. There are many different forms of government out there and even when two countries share a system of government there is often differences in how they enforce it. A great example of this is the differences between Ancient Rome's Republican System and the American Republican System. Before we can go into the what is different between the two we need to touch on what is similar between the two. One of the biggest similarty is that both governments gave people the ability to vote and that the laws are treated are even across the board no matter who you are. There was also the fact that both government would establish a system of checks and balances throught the development of a three branch system of government in which one branch would have the power to counter act the actions of the others. Dispite all of these similarties there was still many difference between these two. Rome would have two heads of two Consuls who would serve 1 year each as where America has one President who serves for four years. They would also be different in the fact that they would have there basic laws and rights written out differently. The two would both be extremely powerful and have a lot in common but would also have a lot of different aspects to them.
