Additionally, the providers are not educated on treating the same ailments presented on melanated skin or are unaware of their attitudes towards people who are not an image of themselves. Currently, education relating to treating ethnic skin is a continuing education credit that most providers are too busy to complete or believe the information is unnecessary because many of their patients do not have darker skin. Unfortunately, $14\%$ of the providers do not have the option to learn how to diagnose and treat patients with darker skin properly because they become the $"$on$-$site Google" for their white counterparts.
