Adults learn best when dealing with a topic relevant to them. I would like for you to identify a real-world problem that affects how people behave at work and identify ways of addressing this problem. You may identify a problem at your current place of employment or one from a previous employer. If you have little work experience, consider current/future business and industry issues. Topics could be things such as how employers can develop strategies for retaining employees through the Great Recession, how employers will manage workforces with artificial intelligence, etc. If you have difficulty identifying a problem for your paper, contact me. Your paper should follow this format: Describe the Problem as succinctly as possible but provide details that might be important for identifying solutions. For example, instead of saying simply turnover is increasing, put that in context by describing the trajectory of turnover over the past several years, define turnover (voluntary, involuntary, by functional unit, etc.) indicate patterns in turnover, competitive landscape, leadership change, changes in the economy, etc. Conduct Research on management and organizational behavior theories and concepts that fit the problem you described. Your research should expand beyond the course textbook. Ellis Library is a good resource as is Google Scholar and business journals aimed at providing resources to business practitioners (Harvard Business Review, Forbes, HR Magazine, Bloomberg Businessweek). Identify Potential Solutions to the problem. For each solution you identify, include the ramifications for implementing this particular solution. For example, if a solution to turnover may be to increase wages, identify ramifications such as increased cost to the organization, which may or may not be manageable. If these costs were to be passed on to the consumer in product/service price increases, how would that affect sales? You should identify at least three to five potential solutions to your problem. Recommend one Solution from the several potential solutions you have already identified and provide your rationale for selecting this solution. If you are able to implement your recommended solution, that would be a great outcome of this assignment. Your paper should include research on best practices in organizational behavior and management to identify appropriate solutions and shape your selection of a recommended solution
