My CPD:

The Continuous Professional Development process indicates that professional development is, like much other learning, promising thought of as a circular series of actions. The process activities from specifying your development needs through planning and then accomplishing your learning activities to evaluating on your learning, and then assigning it and conveying it with others.

Each person is required to identify their own needs organise their own practice and learn for themselves. Part of being a professional is carrying responsibility for your skills and recognising when need to develop.

Teachers Are Strong Communicators

Yes i got surprised, when I ultimately got a teaching role, I had a 60 minute commute each way. There I was surprised at how much teachers disagreed about small things. It was a surprise for me as a former retail manager. When people complained about small things we just cut their hours until they stop. People hardly complained. But my teacher conferences those first few years as a teacher always devolved into hour long complaint fests.

But finally I have got this useful for my career growth by learning from my mistakes and those complaints.

As the time went on and I found positions nearer to home and got into a groove with both my job and my life, I was surprised how simple teaching became for me. I really dont think I have been stressed out at work in at least few years.
