Question:
You will be required to prepare a draft answer to the research hypothetical question in the main assignment.
This part of the assessment relates to the Issues (I) and Law (L) parts of the ILAC frame work to resolving legal problems. You are required to identify legal issues, relevant legal authority and describe how you intend to use this legal authority in relation to the research hypothetical question provided below.
As this is a research-based assignment, you are expected to find relevant cases and sections of legislation which are not located in your prescribed textbook or lecture materials. Therefore, you are also required to provide a summary of your research approach.
REQUIRED – DRAFT ASSIGNMENT
In relation to the research hypothetical, you are required to provide the following:
1.A summary of the key issues that are to be addressed in resolving the Research Hypothetical Question (provided below).
2.A list of the law that is relevant to this problem – including full references to legislation and case law.
3. A brief summary of the relevant law. This means that you paraphrase the law in your own words, focusing on how that law might be relevant to the research problem.
4.A list of any further information you may need from your ‘client’ in order to apply the law to the client’s legal problem.
