After having returned home from a three$-$month vacation to Europe, India and Singapore, Anjali Kumar

was ready to start looking for a full$-$time job. She had graduated from the Richard Ivey School of Business

$($Ivey$)$ HBA program in April $2011,$ and she was interested in a marketing position. While she had enjoyed

her summer job as an assistant brand manager at S$.$C$.$ Johnson, she wanted to secure a position closer to

her home in Toronto. Before she had enrolled in Ivey, Kumar had spent her summer breaks working as an

English teacher at a school for underprivileged children in India and as an investment advisor$$s assistant at

one of Canada$$s largest wealth management firms. During her university years, she had helped other

students in her role as an Ivey marketing mentor, an Ivey guru, a communications ambassador for

prospective Ivey students and a University of Western Ontario $($UWO$)$ synchronized swimming coach. She

knew that prospective employers would be attracted to her work experiences, extracurricular activities and

her Ivey degree
