After learning about how the how the Progam Memory and the Data Memory are connected to the CPU and allows for a microcontroller to execute programs, is there in fact some kind of kernal to our microcontroller that helps manage processes, If there are huge projects out there that use microcontrollers and thousands of lines of code to achieve applications so there must be some higher managment right? So essentially do microcontroller have a kernal (an operating system) like computer do, or is there something I'm missing about kernals/operating systems, or I'm I correlating two distinct subjects when there is none.
