Mr. John Friel Economic Systems Essay ES Essay Instructions: You are to write an essay on economic systems. The question that you will be answering in this essay is the following. What economic system provides the greatest amount of freedom and prosperity to the greatest number of people? This essay will take the place of the exam that I was planning on giving you. The essay will need to be a minimum of 1000 words and must include the following: It must be in MLA format It must include a cover page It must include a bibliography (The cover page and the bibliography do not count towards the 1000 word requirement) The paper must have an introduction that concludes with a well-constructed thesis statement The paper must have a well-defined body with a minimum of 3 distinct sections with each of your claims being proposed in its own section You must come up with a minimum of 3-5 claims to support your position You must use a minimum of 5 resources and provide 3 quotes from these resources. Quotes must be relevant to your claims All claims must be supported with verifiable facts and statistics You must show well defined transitions between sections You must have a conclusion that accurately summarizes your paper and shows support for your thesis statement You will need to compare your economic system with a least one other competing system You will need to show how the system that you are choosing differs with the competing system based on the 3-5 claims that you are making. You must identify 1-2 problems with the system that you are supporting You must provide potential solutions to the problems you identified.
