Analyze and evaluate Performance Management System (PMS) at Bahrain Duty Free and Recommend Appropriate modifications to the existing system. Existing procedures and documents are provided for this purpose. You are also required to reinvent/propose a new the system for a better alignment and efficiency.

Task Overview:

You are appointed as a consultant to Bahrain Duty Free services on improving their current PM system. The client has shared their existing established system of Bahrain Duty Frees already established PMS system. The focus is to enhance effectiveness and efficiency. Review the documents provided and the relevant additional information in form of policies, procedures, appraisal forms etc to better understand their current PMS systems.

Task 1:

Critically analyse and evaluate the current PMS used at Bahrain Duty Free, in terms of processes, techniques and features of the current PMS.

Task 2:

Highlight the common errors in the current system and recommend appropriate solutions to eliminate the highlighted errors?

Task 3:

Propose a new PMS system considering the new airport expansion demonstrating the critical knowledge and understanding of the PMS components and their link to the Bahrain Duty Free strategic agendas.

Since Bahrain Airport has opened a new terminal in 2021 include the elements of the changes that are relevant but not limited to expansion in operations, strategy, performance expectations, ratings, values, vision, Mission of Bahrain Duty Free. The new airport terminal building has a capacity of 13.5 million passengers in a terminal building of 207,000m (This is four times the size of existing airport). There will be 104 check-in counters and a duty-free area of 13,041.m Every new terminal or airport project provides the stakeholders with an entirely new infrastructure and systems environment.
