Analyze this: After reading the material from this week, I do think my small business can and will implement supply chain management techniques effectively. There are several strategies I can adopt such as product development, sourcing, and utilizing information systems. For product development, I can sell goods that satisfy customer needs and also current trends. I can source products from wholesale vendors which will allow me to purchase goods at better prices. Utilizing information systems can aid me with making sure there are timely deliveries and allow me to stay updated on the logistics of those products as they make their way into my store. Those information systems would allow me to track shipments and monitor inventory. All of these techniques are apart of supply chain management through physical flows and information flows. The logistics are on the side of physical flows whereas the product development is on the side of information flows.$$
