1. Critics said that, in many ways, JAWS works as a film because the mechanical shark was broken and wouldn't work on the set so much of the time. When you think of it, you really see very little of the shark itself. Do you agree with critics that this was a positive thing and actually helped the film be more suspenseful and/or frightening? Why or why not?
