Answer them each in a short paragraph. Step Two:

Step Two: Flow Training Program. 1. A) Think about a challenging goal you would like to accomplish (if you have completed the exercise on meaning, choose one of your self-concordant goals). It should be something that requires you to employ a high degree of personal skills or strengths. It should also be something that you would enjoy pursuing, regardless of whether or not you actually achieve it. 2. B) Next, write down every step that would need to be taken in order for you to reach this goal. For example, if your goal is to climb a mountain then think about the equipment you'll pack, the drive to the mountain, getting out of your car and reaching the trail head. Then try to see yourself climbing upward through the switchbacks. Consider your experience, optimism, or other strengths and how they'll help you along the way. If you can think about each part of the trail that you'll go through and what it would be like to reach the top. These action items or short-term goals will help you to visualize how you will reach the bigger goal. Be as detailed as possible and consider the skills you'll need to use and how you'll use them. If you have completed the exercise on signature strengths, it may be helpful think about how these might be applied toward achieving your short-term goals. 3. C) Try to visualize each moment of the process of accomplishing these goals in as much detail as you can. How will you know you've been successful at reaching each step along the way? What does success look like for these short-term goals? What feedback mechanisms can you set up to identify whether or not you're moving in the right direction? How will you use this information to continually improve upon your process? As you answer these questions, use positive self-talk to reaffirm that you can and you will succeed in meeting this goal. For instance, you can repeat a positive phrase to yourself: I can do this. I will do this. I am strong. I am worthy. The more you can visualize yourself working through the process of achieving your goal, the more likely you will be to get into a state of flow and stay there. Once you've completed this exercise, start working on the items on your list
