What are Jane's duties and responsibilities with regards to ensuring this campaign is legally compliant? What areas of law does she need to consider and where can she find more information?

Jane has been asked to do email campaign to promote Xero to small business accountants located in Victoria. For the email send, Jane will be sourcing her list of contacts from the company database, focusing on anyone who has enquired about Xero in the last five years but never purchased. Jane is also considering purchasing a contact list from an email list provider to see if she can generate new interest from people Xero has never contacted before.

In the email, Jane would like to include:

• Why Xero is the number one cloud accounting software on the market
• 10% off all new installations for seven days only
• A link to a blog post that compares Xero to the competition
• A 'send to a friend' promotion
• Confirmation that the receiver is happy to receive email communications from Xero.
