Question 1: After reading the article on "Creativity Crisis," what are your thoughts about the US's creative competitive advantage. Look up how the US compares with other countries on creativity/innovation (there is the Global Innovation index and other measures) - give the US ranking and the ranking of the most creative country. What surprised you (or didn't surprise you) about the US's standing?

Question 2: Read the article on Better Brainstorming. What do you see as the major failings of this classic technique? What can be done to make brainstorming better?

Question 3: Discuss how you see the topics of critical decision making and creativity approached in secondary education (high school) and college. Do you think educational systems are doing enough to prepare workers to be innovative in the workplace? Do you think you are adequately prepared with regard to what you have read and seen in your college education? Explain your answer and give an example.
