As a scenario for demonstration we focus on simplicity on the goal of gaining access to data on Disk 1 (D1) and Disk 2 (D2). On the physical layer, this scenario is composed of two rooms, Internal room and Room Datacenter, and a Hallway where controlled access is possible from the outside to the Hallway and from the Hallway to the Internal room and from there to Room Datacenter. Both rooms have windows that usually closed and locked (Window datacenter and Window internal). On the technical infrastructure layer, the actual cloud infrastructure consist of Server S1 on which three virtual machines VM1, VM2 and VM3 ar running on top of a hypervisor and protected by a virtual firewall (not labeled). The Virtual machines are sharing the D1 and D2 virtual disks which are mirrored. The Server is connected to the outside via a switch SW2 and a Gateway. Via the external connection the laptop can connect to the virtual infrastructure of the server. The confidential patient information is located on D1 and is owned by Ethan working on specific insurance cases and driving by an app on VM1. Other actors are Finn who works on the financial department, and he uses VM2 to access payroll info from D2, Terry is a technician from IT support and uses VM3 and finally Sydney is the system administrator. Terry has physical access to data center but only Sydney has access to all the infrastructure. Notice that Finn is not a happy employee, his last review was really bad and he is very upset with his management. Make a Risk Assessment for D1 information being stolen, and for D2 information being destroyed.
