As part of developing a global perspective for the organization in support of the new Board of Director's strategic initiative for the organization to go regional in the next 12 months, you've been assigned to head a team drawing members from across the organization to spearhead a benchmarking project. The primary aim of the project is to reduce the shop floor grades from seventeen to four (an improvement in productivity). You will need to come up with the different roles and responsibilities for your team members, budgets and resources, timelines, and work breakdown structure. You may be in a situation where you are managing a cross-functional team. You will be required to know who the stakeholders are and what inputs are required from them. Implications from current standards or codes of practice and existing work policies and procedures will need to be reviewed in the light of the potential risks which are likely to arise and which will affect the quality and safety standards of your organization's products and services
