As we start the Chapter on Linear Optimization / Linear Programming, the Par, Inc. example begins to illustrate how important Constraints are in determining an optimal solution to the objective function. Well, Im sure all of you were well aware of the importance of Constraints in real life. Be it time, money, knowledge, or any of a myriad of other variables, our lives are very much bounded by constraints, determining the feasible region in which we live our life (sort of depressing in a way, huh?). Tell us something important about how a constraint, or multiple constraints, has affected your professional, educational, or personal life. Perhaps its a constraint that has prevented you from doing something you would otherwise love to do, but maybe its about a time when a constraint was lifted, even briefly, and allowed you to do something you otherwise would not have had the opportunity to do, or perhaps its a way that a constraint forced you to into a decision process that had unexpectedly positive results (i.e. constrained creativity), or maybe it's something completely different.
