substraction problem
Assume I have a register r1 stored as a IEEE format, with 1s on both expoennt and mantissa. I also stored a r2 with only the bits of the exponent.
The goal is to return a value of r1 but minus the IEEE value of r2.
sub r1, r1, r2 somehow gives 0 whcih is not right,
how can we do this right?
