Problem Statement: A few sentences long, the problem statement briefly states which marketing question the firm wishes to answer through the research. (see p. 68 "Background" section for example) III. Research Objective: What specific information needs to be collected from whom (very specific target market) in order to resolve the problem? iv. Research Method: A description of the data collection methods to be used, with justification of the strengths and limitations of the chosen method. Include both primary and secondary research approaches. v. Time and Cost Estimates: A brief project schedule and any costs associated with the project should be included.
