Objective The objective of this assignment is to develop your own experience in formulation a ocean cargo loading plan document into different container types and help you understand the effectiveness in the use of space in the container. Situation Exercise 1 Shipment 1 3000 Crates Dimensions of each crate: L. 120cm x H. 40com x W. 36cm Weight of each crate: 29 kg. Special instruction: Fragile

Make and estimation for your client to identify the type of container that must be used? Would you charge by Weight or by Volume? What is the waste space in each of the container? Make a Container Loading Plan and a Scheme of three views of the container fully loaded.

Exercise 3 Can you combine both shipments due to the fact that both goes to the same destination port and the same origin port? Can you make an estimation on how to use spare volume to send both products combined in the same containers? Note: If you need to palettize take into consideration height increase in the first shipment 10 cm. Try to do a Cargo Load Plan for this case.
