Assignment 2: Report Writing

The report must show the use of four (4) citations from print and electronic sources to support the findings discussed. Use the Harvard style of referencing for both citations and bibliography.

Task

Using a community you know well, evaluate peoples opinion on the use of English in higher educational institutions.

Terms of reference:

1. To identify the main medium of instruction in

a. local high schools and b) in higher educational institutions

2. To survey peoples opinions on the use of English as a medium of instruction in higher education;

3. To identify and evaluate the benefits for Pacific students of using English as a medium of learning at higher education.

4. To identify and evaluate the major challenges faced by Pacific students in using English as a medium of learning at higher education.

5. To recommend ways of overcoming the challenges evaluated in number 4 above
