ArkansasBest Clinic $($ABC$)$ provides health services. Services offered include diagnosis and treatment of minor illness $($cold$,$ strep, flue$),$ skin conditions $($impetigo$,$ chicken$-$pox, shingles$),$ injuries $($burns$,$ cuts$),$ and vaccinations $($tetanus$,$ HPV$).$ The clinic is staffed by nurses and physician assistants or nurse practitioners and operate on an appointment or walk$-$in basis.

Currently, ABC uses a mobile application to facilitate prescription order and refill, notification, and auto$-$refill services. ABC has leveraged the mobile app to gain advantage over less technically advanced competitors. To improve the service, a new system is being proposed.

The new system would enable real$-$time communication with medical personnel, mobile appointment scheduling, tele$-$health assessment, and diagnosis of minor problems through video calls. The followings describe the services the new system shall provide.

First, the system shall allow clients to schedule appointments electronically. Client requests to be seen by the clinic. The system displays the defined service offerings list. Client chooses a defined service offering from the list. Existing Health Clinic System provides information about clinic services and appointment availability. This system has been already built and has been using. Current real$-$time availability will be displayed with wait time listed. Clients enter the preferred date and time. The system shall check the preference against appointment availability. It shall display matching availability. The calendar will be updated to reflect scheduled appointment. Administrative staff confirms the appointment and confirmation will be sent to the client.

If the request is not on the list, the request is beyond the scope of the clinic$$s capabilities.$$ Referral information will be listed for conditions beyond the scope of the click$$s service. The system shall compare and evaluate referral need against referral list. It will display appropriate referrals

The system shall allow clients to electronically communicate with medical staff in real$-$time. Client requests a real$-$time meeting with medical staff. Existing Health Clinic Service displays availability information. The client indicates available time and technology preference. Medical staff responds to duration and availability. The session is scheduled with the client and medical staff. Administrative staff confirms the session time.

The system shall also provide clients with tele$-$health assessment. Client requests tele$-$health assessment. Existing Health Clinic System provides information about tele$-$health clinic services and appointment availability. A question matrix is displayed. The client answers the question matrix to determine suitability for tele$-$health assessment. Limited diagnosis is developed based on the matrix answers from clients. Diagnosis information is reviewed by medical staff. Diagnosis information is given to the client if the problem is minor and diagnosis info is conclusive. Client questions are answered and the session ends. If the client wants more information, a video conference is scheduled. The system shall display appointment availability. The client chooses the preferred appointment date and time. Confirmation will be sent to the client.$$
