Assignment #3: Comparing Group Means download and open a data file:GPA and SAT.xlsx

Compare male and female undergraduate students at Concordia University Chicago in terms of their SAT scores and GPA (As such, you will be conducting TWO separateindependent-samples t-tests.). For each t-test, state the following:

1. Research Question (e.g., Does Group A differ from Group B in terms of X?)

2. Null hypothesis (e.g., Group A does not differ from Group B in terms of X.)

3. Research hypothesis (e.g.,Group A differs from Group B in terms of X.)

4. Appropriatedescriptive analysis of the variables being used in this analysis (e.g., mean, standard deviation, mode, median, range, minand max, % for each group) in a paragraph form. (Don't just include a table of numbers and not talk about it.)

5. Clearinterpretation of the findings, along with the Excel output. (Use Module 6Lecture Slides #6 or #7 as examples/templates to follow.)

  • Cut and paste the output from using Excel Data Analysis Toolpakat the end of your paper. This is to ensure that you are using the Toolpakeffectively. You will not receive full credit for this assignment without this critical step. The directions on how to perform independent-samples t-tests in Excel are in Chapter 11 of your textbook,t(ea) for Two: Tests Between the Means of Different Groups.
