Assignment $3$: Earned Value Analysis

Instructions

Please read and follow the instructions carefully. Failure to do so will result in a penalty to the to the evaluation.

$1.$ Provide a title page with the title of the assignment, your full name, student ID$,$ George Brown email address and date.

$2.$ Provide a summary page $($separate and distinct from the any rough work$).$

a$.$ The summary page must provide the final answer to each question ONLY. No calculations and$/$or rough work should be part of the summary page.

b$.$ The answers must be clearly numbered and are aligned with the order of the questions presented below. The answer must be clearly visible $/$ highlighted.

$3.$ Provide an appendix with all rough work $/$ calculations. You must show your work. IF you are using excel or word for your calculations, the file must be provided. You can attach a screenshot of the file page$($s$)$; however, you must also upload the original file as well. Clearly title each file with the name of the assignment AND your name $($first $/$ last$).$

$4.$ Provide in the appendix all the relevant MS Project items $($if applicable$).$

$5.$ If the assignment is submitted without the rough work $/$ calculations $/$ xl file, a penalty will be applied to the final evaluation.

$6.$ All files MUST be submitted within D$2$L$.$ No emailed submissions will be accepted. This is not negotiable.

$7.$ Late assignments will be assessed a point deduction $($from the total points available$)$ per day for every day late past the due date.

$8.$ Please ensure all work completed is your own work. Plagiarism is not acceptable. If it is determined that the work submitted is not your own, a possible mark of $0$ will be assigned.

$9.$ Total marks $(20$ points$)$:

a$.$ Marks awarded for:

i$.$ the completed questions $($summary page$)$

ii$.$ for the attached and completed work $($rough work $/$ calculations$)$

$10.$ The assignment is worth $4\mathrm{.}0\%$ of your overall mark.

$11.$ This assignment is to be completed and submitted individually.

Question $1$:

Given the following small project activity and $3-$point duration estimate.

Draw the network diagram representing the project. Total Marks $8.$

$($Ensure you show the calculations for all activity estimates derived from the $3$ estimates provided for each in your appendix. The summary page should only show the final network diagram.$)$

Question $2$:

Using the project above and the following status information $($below$)$ at the end of day $14,$ calculate$/$determine the following:

Show all work!!! Similar approach to in$-$class examples. Ensure you draw the network diagram and then display the activities on a timeline to show which activities are scheduled before, during and after the status day @ day $14.$
