Assignment 3: Prepare a Business Report (15%)

Purpose

The Purpose of this assignment is to plan a strategy for a given report, to organize information and integrate support documents into the report.

How to Proceed

1. Complete the assigned readings and unit notes for Units 8 & 9.
2. Read the following scenario: Your consulting firm has been hired to help the North Creek Streamkeepers apply for government funding to implement a more organized cleanup strategy. Funding is awarded based on two criteria: 1) the urgency of the environmental concern; and 2) the feasibility of the proposed cleanup program. Applications in either category consist of a report that includes supporting evidence and documentation. You will create an outline of a proposal that includes a strategy and supporting information.
3. Create an outline for a proposal for funding based on the scenario above and address the following prompts in your outline:
   • Under which funding category will you apply?
   • Plan a strategy for your proposal, including supporting documentation for the need of money for clean-up.
   • Organize into an outline the information you would collect as evidence of a need for the government funding.
   • Include why your strategy for cleanup is the one that will work and therefore should be awarded the funding.
