There are codes that are universally recognized such as Code Blue for cardiopulmonary arrest and Code Red indicates usually, an emergency with fire. Not all codes or the colors associated with them, the same between countries, states, healthcare systems.
Choose 10 different codes/colors used in healthcare or emergency services.
For each one you choose, you must:
1. explain what the code/color means.
2. what facility/state/country uses that code/color that you chose (include in-text citation and a reference at the end of the assignment).
3. research another state/country/institution to see if the code is the same or not. Make sure to name (& cite!) the second location as well.
4.if the codes are not the same, indicate what the code means in the other environment
(for example: code orange in one facility may mean bomb threat, in another it may mean evacuate the premises).
5. What are the dangers in having the same color code mean different things to healthcare workers.
