Continue to reference your book for formatting purposes and review the videos referenced in week 2 and 3. Use the Assignment 4 spreadsheet to begin the assignment.

Important Note: If we have reviewed previous formatting/skills and it is used in the recreation excel document, you are to add the formatting/skill. For Example, if I show grid lines on the recreation excel document but do not mention them in the specifications, you are to put grid lines in the assignment. This includes all formatting/skills that I have covered (bold, italicized, centering, shading, borders, etc..). The assignments are used to build your skills in excel. These skills are common skills that are used in business applications and should be easily identifiable.

If you are unfamiliar with the icons located on the format bar, please ask or use your book for reference.

Specifications:

You will be working on the sheet entitled Commission Report. However you will be using the data from the sheet entitled Sales Report.

Refer to the example I provided on the Commission Report sheet in Cell D5 to show how to calculate values from a prior sheet such as in the Sale Report sheet.

Calculate the sales commission using the SUM function for each quarter for each employee per the following specifications:

Smith, Smithers, Johns, and Johnson receive 21% of their corresponding sales

from Sales report sheet) for all quarters plus a $2500 bonus. (see cell D5 - John Smith had $2348.90 for Quarter 1. Multiply that by 21% then add $2500.) Remember you must reference the cell from the Sales Report - in this case I am referencing cell D4 on Sales Report sheet. =SUM('Sales Report'!D4*0.21+2500)

Gardner, House, and Ginger receive 14% of their corresponding sales (from Sales report sheet) for Quarters 1, 2, & 3 and for Quarter 4 they receive 25%.

Gardnership, Table, and Shelve receive 35% of their corresponding sales (from Sales report sheet) for Quarters 1 and 2 and for Quarter 3 & 4 they receive 25%.

Save the file as an excel worksheet as "your last name"_assign4

Submit the saved file in the drop box located in week 3. The assignment is due on Sunday at 12 noon. See calendar for details.
