Assignment: Assignment #2-1: Cost of Care INSTRUCTIONS

Assignment Objectives: Each course in the MHA program has at least one assignment in Microsoft Excel. This assignment provides students the opportunity to use Excel on raw data that addresses the subject matter covered in this weeks lessons, primarily coverage of providers within a population and the burden of disease, or mortality causes.

Assignment Directions:

You will create a PowerPoint slide deck with several slides that depict data from the Institute of Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME). This data will represent information on the country you selected in Assignment #1-1. You will populate the slide deck with the charts and/or graphs outlined below. In addition to the charts and graphs, you must include a textbox with each slide explaining what the data describes. Please download the assignment directions to begin. (See attached). Submit your PowerPoint presentation and Excel file to separate drop boxes. I have an Excel example for Columbia for the comparison of Inpatient "Hospital" vs. Outpatient "Ambulatory" between 2000 and 2017. The rows used in the graph are highlighted in yellow. They should be the same for all countries. See tab 2, labeled "Graphs" for my comparison.

General requirements and instructions to complete your assignment

• Use APA format for in-text citations and your reference page.
• Place your data and text in a PowerPoint presentation.
• Upload and submit your PowerPoint to the assignment dropbox.
• Upload and submit your Excel file to the assigned dropbox. There will be a specific dropbox for the Excel file.
• A rubric will be used to assess your responses.
• The Excel will not have a separate rubric; it will be worth 0 points in Blackboard. Points will be accounted for in each of the chart/graph sections of the rubric.
