Question 1 - Vacation Package Email You work for a specialty travel agency which is watching its client base move to the internet to book the vacation needs instead of using your services to do for them. Your manager has decided that the new trend is in packaging exotic adventure packages for families, couples and singles. Your manager has asked you to brainstorm ideas for new exotic vacation possibilities, such as bungee jumping in New Zealand. Complete some online research about adventure tourism and making notes on how to bundle packages designed for families, couples and singles. Write email which would be sent to your regular clients upselling these new packages. Remember include details such as prices, group discounts, levels of difficulty, and type of package (family, single, couple, athletic, slow paced).

Question 2 - Customer Refund Request You work at the head office of a large furniture company. A customer emails you to say that one week after he purchased your wardrobe, the retail outlet where he bought it reduced the price by $125 dollars. He would like you to refund the difference. Write letter addressing this customer's concerns and instructing him that in order to receive an adjustment, he will have to provide you with the add and a copy of his purchase receipt.

Question 3 - Team Memo for Barbeque You are the Sales & Marketing Co-ordinator at an international shipping company. Your boss has put you in charge of coordinating the planning team for this year's company barbeque. The planning team is made up of Sales and Marketing representatives from all divisions of the company. Using the assertive voice, write memo to your team members requesting that everyone volunteer for one of the follow committee positions: decorations, activities, food, and publicity. Specify a deadline date by which everyone must respond. Following the creation of this committee, there will be a scheduled conference call during which the details of deliverables, budgets and deadlines will be outlined.
