Assignment Description In this assignment, you and your group will take on the role of a freight forwarder and customs broker contracted to work on behalf of a Canadian Importer (Myers Wholesale). Your services will be needed to assist Myers Wholesale in preparing any of the documentation required for their next big shipment. They will also need your expertise to ensure that the import is cost-effective and that all CBSA import rules and regulations are being followed.

After some initial contact with your client, you discover that they are new to international trade and are in great need of your services. They have the potential to be a large customer in the future. Of course, it will depend on how well you meet their needs for this initial import.

To date you have received the following information:

They are purchasing from Turner Industries in New York, which is a distributor that sources a wide selection of products from USA and around the world.

All of the products will ship complete from the Turner Industries warehouse in New York

To save transit time Myers Wholesale wants to directly send the shipment to their customer triOS College in Brampton, Ontario

The cost of the goods are in US dollars, and the freight charges will be prepaid by Turner Ind.
