Assignment details

Choose a company or organization that you have an interest in knowing more about.Select carefully for your industry. Arrange an information interview by calling the company and asking for the Human Resources Department OR a Department Manager. You should ask for 20-30 minutes of that person's time. You are required to meet with the contact in their company offices during business hours and explain that they are required to complete a paragraph of the interview process.

Upon completion of the information interview, please complete report containing the following details. Use each of the sections below as a section title.

Section 1: Contact and Interview Information:

One paragraph on what you know about the company (company research)

Section 3: Pre-Scripted Interview Questions & Summary of Responses

List questions you asked followed by your contact's answers (minimum 10 questions)

*** The minimum of 10 questions to be asked should be specific to the job itself. Eg-hiring processes, what makes your resume noticed, etc. NOT small talk questions!

Section 4: Reflection:

Your overall impression of the experience, were you excited/nervous?

Suggestions for improvement of YOUR future information interviews if you do more? Your thoughts, NOT the employers. One significant item that you learned from the information received that was NOT common sense and that you did NOT know through the experience
