1. Locate five (5) sources that you will definitely use in your paper.
2. Three (3) of these sources need to be scholarly. You will need to locate them through the Reynolds LibraryLinks to an external site.Links to an external site. or Google scholarLinks to an external site..
3. The other two (2) sources for this assignment can be non-scholarly and you can find them using Google or your preferred search engine.
4. Check all sources for credibility using the CRAAP test or SIFT protocol that we've covered.
5. For each of the five sources, you'll fill out a research log, using this templateLinks to an external site..
6. Open the template, go to File >> Make a Copy >> Then rename the document by clicking on the "Name" box and typing your first and last name. Once you've done that, you'll be able to type directly into the document.
7. Each of the five sources that you use for this assignment should have its own research log entry.
- Generate and check the citation. (Hint: If you use the Library databases, many of the citations are already generated for you there.)
- Tell me what database you've used to find the source. (Hint: This needs to be included in your citation as well.)
- Tell me how you've determined that the source is credible, using the CRAAP test.
- Summarize the main argument of the article.
- Tell me how you'll use it in your paper to support your thesis or argument.
