Objectives:

To provide students with the opportunity to identify and analyze current events and issues in various themes of geographical inquiry.

To provide students with an opportunity to enhance their communication skills.

To encourage students to utilize and evaluate common, and easily accessible information sources and support these with information from more reputable sources $($peer$-$reviewed journal articles, textbooks, governmental websites$).$

Guidelines:

You will be responsible for selecting a topic $($please scroll down at the end of this page$).$

You will have to find and evaluate geographically a case study of a recent event from a newspaper, a magazine article, TV program, and a documentary relating to that topic.

The dominant case study source $($articles$/$programs$/$websites$)$ should be current $($or recent$)-$ i$.$e$.,2016-2021.$ All supporting sources $($minimum of $4)$ should be from reputable sources $($no wikis, encyclopaedias$).$

You will be evaluated and are expected to briefly summarize their case study and evaluate it geographically using one, or a combination of the guiding questions below.
