For stakeholders involved in quality reviews, quality checklists as an example may be added directly to the status or within an appendix.
Date status report prepared
Can be weekly, bi-weekly, monthly
What is the forecasted budget if project is not complete?
How much has been spent to date?
Is there anything specific that a stakeholder should know about?
Why is the status the way it is?
Any inherent issues, risks tied to this task?
It is important to track decisions on projects so you can refer to them later in the project especially when a decision is being questioned.
Example from a charity fundraiser project: Tablecloths must be green.
Note: The decision is not altering the scope, schedule, or cost of the project so a change request is not required.
List all change requests impacting the scope, schedule, and/or cost of a project. Track if the change has been requested, accepted, declined or deferred.
