Each student will individually be required to assess the overall effectiveness of a company/institution/agency in Albany or any other city in the context of Organizational Behavior (OB) theory. Students are required to collect data using interviews, surveys or secondary sources such as the internet etc., and then use the data to assess their chosen company on various OB elements like corporate culture, leadership, teamwork, interpersonal communication, motivation and submit their overall assessment in the form of a report. Instructions for the Research Project Task(s): Identify a company. Collect information about your company. Now plan out your report. Write the report using the guidelines given below. Submission Format The entire report should consist of five pages, including the covering page and references at the end. Reports can be formatted in the following manner: First paragraph: introduction about the company--name, location, products/services, number of employees etc. Write 4-5 lines here. Second paragraph: describe the company's organizational culture. Write 4-5 lines here. Third paragraph: describe the company's structure. Draw the organization structure. Write 4-5 lines here. Fourth paragraph: write about the leadership of the company. Write 4-5 lines here. Fifth paragraph: explain the motivational policies/programs existing within the company. Write 4-5 lines here. Sixth paragraph: explain the communication techniques existing within the company. Write 4-5 lines here. Seventh paragraph: briefly write about stress management/ team building techniques existing within the organization. Write 4-5 lines here. Last paragraph: conclusion--what do you think about the company? What can be improved? Your overall assessment. 4-5 lines here.
