Assignment: Please develop a grievance policy for the hypothetical organization you have just been hired at.

Organization Information: Small to medium sized manufacturing plant (500-1000 employees) located in the State of Texas. The organization is approximately 75% male and 80% white.

Things that need to be addressed in your grievance policy*: 1. Who may file? 2. Statute of limitations? 3. Who do you file to? 4. How long does the organization have to file? 5. Who receives the findings? 6. Are they made public? 7. Appeals process? 8. Describe the appeals process in detail.

*This is not a mutually exhaustive list*

 You will need to address it for each of the scenarios provided below: 

1. A prospective employee disagreeing with the employment decision 2. A current employee is denied a promotion 3. An employee filed a grievance against a colleague 4. An employee filed a grievance against a supervisor 5. A supervisor filed a grievance against an employee that he/she supervises
