Scenario:

Career progression is a high priority for many professionals, regardless of their industry, professional discipline or gender. Finding strategies to realise your ambitions is key to achieving long-term career satisfaction.

Landing your dream job takes a lot of self-awareness, perseverance, and creativity. In order to find your dream job, you need to evaluate yourself. Make a list of and understand all the requirements of your ideal job. These can be specific to job function, location, work culture, hours worked and salary. You need to identify your strengths and weaknesses and take steps to work on areas where you feel your skills could be stronger. Knowing what strong qualities, you can bring to a job and highlighting them can help you get recognized by employers.

MO1: To understand how personal academic competency and take effective notes from a variety of sources.

1. Select a career that you would be keen to pursue upon graduation from your study. With reference to at least 3 different sources, compile a list of candidate requirements that this job entails.

2. Evaluate your skills and abilities in comparison to the job requirements in (a). This will help to prepare yourself to be ready to take on the job effectively.

3. Identify at least 3 areas of improvement that you need to work on, to prepare yourself for to be ready for this job in the future.

4. Create an Action Plan to show how you intend to improve each of the 3 areas identified in (c).
