Company offers happy hours and fun events for brand launches. Employees can also get product for free (many high quality products). Company is very lean and entrepreneurial. The people are the best part of the company - many I still keep in touch with. I have noticed some very talented employees receive promotions and G/R seems to be making an effort to improve turnover and rampant cultural problems by asking for employee feedback and responding with an open mind to Glasssdoor reviews Cons Turnover is a major issue at the company-either toptalent leaves out of frustration or are quickly let go for "lack of performance" (being on the wrong side of company politics). I think at one point I remember seeing the statistic that half of G/Remployees have been with the company less than two years. I had seen at least 3 employees not even make it 3 months. Several areas do not have great work/life balance or flexibility. Colleagues had been asked to put in longer hours and sometimes even work on the weekends. There is a total lack of process and many departments keep to themselves. There is very little coaching or development and there are no formal performance evaluations at the company. There is also an evident fear culture that stems from the top of the organization downwards. It is not unusual for the CEO of the organization to wait and someone's desk and demand immediate answers to a question. If something is perceived as not going well everyone scrambles so the finger will not be pointed at them and they will not be reprimanded or fred. Many employees are stressed out and are always worried they will be tied into another crisis. At least two employees (from different departments) had confessed to me that the stress had led them to breakdown at the office Advice to Management Improve turnover by improving your culture. Implement longer term solutions (root cause analysis, process improvement) instead of the all the firefighting. Ask for feedback from employees on ways to improve work/life balance and workloads
