Senior management reviewed the feedback from the Honicker representatives at the kickoff meeting. Based on the situation, senior management decided on a two-prong approach to move the project forward.

The approach consists of:

1. Immediately beginning to obtain a better understanding of the Alpha, Beta, Gamma and Delta companies (the companies).

2. Creating an outline of a methodology as a first step to developing the final project methodology. Honickers senior management has asked you to develop an action plan to address both parts of the approach (1 and 2 above).

The action plan will be built into the project plan after being approved by senior management.

Contents of Your Action Plan Part 1 Better understand the companies (10% of the overall grade) Provide recommendations for the following on how Honicker and the project can get to know all companies better and understand their needs and expectations.

Part 2 - Outline the Draft Methodology (75% of the overall grade) Create an outline that addresses the following as a minimum: Type of methodology formal or informal

Templates that will be part of the methodology, if applicable.

Will standard guidelines or detailed process definitions be used in the methodology? o Depending on the option chosen, briefly describe the guidelines or list the suggested processes.

Describe the flexibility that the methodology will allow for each company.

Is the methodology static or will it change over time? o Are there specific points in time where changes may be made? Part 3 Summary (15% of the overall grade) Address the following questions in your summary:

Is the main issue in the project change management, stakeholder management or a project methodology?

Should there be one project methodology for all companies, or should each maintain their own methodology?
