Reflect back on one of your particularly memorable performance appraisals (does not have to be in a healthcare position) and how it was conducted. If this was a poorly conducted appraisal, what made it so? How did you feel after it was over? What would you change to have made this a positive experience? If this was a well-conducted appraisal, what made it so? How did you feel after it was over? What aspects of the appraisal would you use in conducting your own performance appraisals on employees? If you've never had a performance appraisal before, interview a professional in regards to performance appraisals they have received.
