It connects people all around the globe, allows us to network, and exchange important information with each other. The importance of social media presence on a business cannot be overemphasized because it helps create brand awareness, reach a larger audience and collect feedback from consumers. It is actively used by company HR departments in recruitment. According to a recent survey, 70% of respondents use social networking sites to research prospective job candidates, and 90% of employers find social media important when they evaluate candidates. Whats more, 79% of hiring managers have denied a job to a candidate due to inappropriate content on social media.
