The first access point for the patient is admission so that the official chart can be created. Following that process, the patient is transferred to the appropriate department. At times, because of staffing issues or heavy workload, the admissions process is either not done or incomplete therefore delaying care and documentation. One way to solve this problem is by giving different users access to the interface so that they can complete the process without any delays and when it comes to searching the patient and the chart, users who need to access that specific interface will not be blocked because the chart is locked. After all, another user is viewing it. Another issue is going through multiple interfaces to access certain types of data. A solution is to have one dedicated search bar in the interface that connects the user to the necessary interface without having to go through hoops because doing so also increases workload and lessens patient care
