The recruitment process for security van drivers starts with a national advert at the beginning of May. At the same time an advert is also included in the company newsletter, which is published quarterly. Prior experience is not required but a Class C$1$ licence and not more than three penalty points are mandatory. Interviews are completed by mid$-$July and the best ten candidates are offered a place on a two week training course. It is very unusual for internal candidates not to be part of this group. Immediately after the interviews, there is a two$-$week period for candidates to accept the offer and confirm availability for the course, which starts in the last week of October.
