Based $on$ what you read $in$ this module's readings, how does your experience and the experience shared $by$ your peers reflect what you learned about the functions and the future role $ofHR?My$ name $is$ Jenn, I live $in$ North Carolina with $my$ husband, our $2$ boys $(10$ years old and a soon $tobe2$ year old$),$ and our sweet $1$ year old boxer puppy. $My$ family $ismy$ biggest supporters and the reason I $am$ going back $to$ school $asan$ adult amd studying for $my$ Bachelors $of$ Business$-$ majoring $inHR$ Management.

I have had several opportunities $tobe$ around $HR$ and $tobe$ involved $inHR$ decisions, regarding $to$ employee life cycle, payroll, and even $so$ hard conversations with employees. $Asan$ office manager, I have been able $to$ process new hire orientations, reviewing all training and resources $as$ I have selected the right candidate for $my$ front office staff. While this was $an$ exciting time, I have also had the unfortunate position $asan$ office manager reporting data and information about a certain employee that was not doing the job tasks for their job description that lead $in$ demoting and reducing pay $to$ this employee. While I was not the $HR$ manager, the office manager plays a very important role reporting $toHRas$ follow through actions require proper channeling $to$ ensure that proper documentation have been processed and submitted. $HRis$ a field $of$ interest that have good qualities and bad qualities, usually when people think $HR,$ they think $of$ the bad stigma that has been portrayed against those $in$ the $HR$ field. When I think $ofHR,itis$ someone who $is$ able $to$ listen, empathize, but also guide and direct employees. I look forward $to$ learning $so$ much more during this semester!
