Based on my experience the one thing I have noticed with multiple leaders I have worked with is the fact that they all share the skill of survival and 90% of them have zero listening skills. They listen to respond and not to hear which creates an unhappy environment for all involved. I am going to use this example because its fresh in my mind and it fits for the most part. In the business I am currently in there are multiple levels of management. If you must use a ranking system, I rank second in line from the top I have a manager who is right below me and the way she treats certain staff members is appalling. She talks to them as if they are beneath her and its just sad. Anytime there is a conflict I handle it because staff respect me, and I listen. I have done all I can to correct her behavior I have even reported her to HR and have encouraged staff to do the same. Because we are federal employees termination of employees is difficult and full of red tape. If I am strictly using what I have learned in this class to resolve this situation then I would have to say there is nothing. This class taught me the importance of scheduling and how to properly run a project but not so much on how to handle disrespectful people. I wish everyone the best and I hope everyone stays safe. their task sincerely because they feel trust on managers as managers consider opinion, thought or view of an employees in taking decision and also give respect to the thought of an employees and also take steps to solve the problems of employees through communicating with them and understanding their problems.
