The case study :

AMSB is a multi-billion dollar company that sells households and health / wellness products. The company originated in the US, and was first brought to Malaysia back in 1976. The business growth is excellent throughout its 40 years, and it keeps growing until the current date. Many retailers are doing great and enjoying the high quality products and earn very good with AMSB business model. Recently, the company decided to migrate their e-commerce platform into a new Hybris System. Founded in 2007, Hybris is an ecommerce platform which allows its consumers to sell in both B2B and B2C markets effectively. Due to the pandemic in 2020, the old e-commerce platform has become the central attention for all of AMSB business owners to make their sales every day. The old system uses AS400 and the transaction updates are not on real time basis. This problem contribute to further problems in mistakes on delivery as well as stock updates. Some other major problems faced by AMSB is that, their retailers/business owners were not able to view the same records of their purchase history and payments as same as how the admin viewed it, and that causes too much of manual intervention, which further causes so much of issues. The management of AMSB decided to migrate to the new Hybris System so that it can cater to the fast growing e-commerce transaction especially when everybody dont go the physical shops anymore, and online shopping is the top option for all of its users as the results of pandemic season.
