1-What are current leadership style & traits?
My current leadership style is participative. I believe that best decisions are made when everyone involved has a chance to contribute their ideas. A strong believer in empowering my team member, and leader should give freedom to make decisions & take ownership of their work.
I arrive at this conclusion through a combination of self-reflection & feedback from peers & colleagues. A leader should be a good listener, to accept different perspectives. I also believe that people are more likely to be motivated & engaged when they feel like have a say in decision that affect them.
2-How did you arrive at conclusion above - e.g own reflection, feedback from colleagues etc.
Here are some of the things that have led a leader to believe that the current leadership style is participative:
- Who enjoys working with people & building a relationship or network.
- Who have good listening to different perspectives & synthesizing them into a coherent plan.
- Who believe that people are more likely to be motivated & engaged when they feel like they have a say in a decision that affects them.
- Who have received feedback from peers & colleagues
3- What advantages & disadvantages do your current style & traits offer?
Advantages:
- Increased buy-in & commitment from team members,
- Improved communication & collaboration.
- More creative & effective solution.
- Increased employee satisfaction & motivation.
Disadvantages:
- Can be time consuming.
- Not always appropriate for all situations.
- Can be difficult to reach consensus
4-How would you want to adjust your style in future, and why? If you would like to stay within your existing style & traits, also explain why.
I am happy with my current leadership style, but a leader always open to learning & growing. In future, like becoming even better at listening to different perspectives them into a coherent plan.
I believe that my participative leadership style is well-suited for most situation. but there are some situations where a more directive style may be necessary. For example, in a crisis situation, it may be necessary for leader to take quick decisions without consulting with team

Here are some of things that i would do to adjust my leadership style in future:
- I would continue to learn about different leadership styles & how to apply them in different scenarios, such as:
- Autocratic style
- Democratic style
- Laissez-faire
- Transformational
- Bureaucratic style
- Strategic style
- I would seek feedback from my team member on how i to improve my leadership skills.
- I would practice active listening & conflict resolution skills
