To conduct the customer experience review and prepare staff, there are two possible ways:
1. Provide the customer with the link on their personal devices where they can share their experience of the EMR system and connect these responses with the EMR system so that it automatically gets recorded within the system. The system will then process the data obtained from the patients and will produce the desired information for the use of the decision-makers.
2. Provide the customer with the feedback form at the end of their treatment. The feedback form will have closed-ended questions so that the patients do not find it tedious and complex. The completed feedback form will be collected from the patients and data from the form will be inserted in the EMR system to obtain the processed information from the system which would then ease the decision-making process.
In order to prepare the staff for the newly adopted EMR system, the human resource department along with the technical department will be providing training to the staff and the human resource department should motivate them for getting adapted to EMR system and should tell them what benefit they and the hospital facility would reap from the use of the EMR system. Technical directors will train the staff for using the system and should make it easy for the staff to understand the system. The human resource department will provide user manual and health and safety manual for using the EMR system.
In order to prepare the customer, human resource department of the hospital should train the customer about their part in the EMR system through various mediums including face to face communication, posters display, emails, and messages on their device clearly indicating the step by step process of using EMR system and specifying the benefits that they would reap from the use of the system.
