Before we can address the best practices for creating change we first need to understand what it is$.$ A

generic change plan can be broken down into $5$ parts: Recognition, Diagnosis, Planning,

Implementation, and Sustainability $($Belcourt & Podolsky, $2019,$ Ch $9).$ The goal of creating a change

plan is to guide the company to help achieve their desired result.

What change plan could help Amazon and why?

A change plan based around outsourcing will involve similar steps to a generic change plan in addition

to more tailored initiatives that will fit with Amazon's goals. To begin, Amazon must recognize the

state of its business, is outsourcing beneficial or detrimental to the company? Can it be improved? To

better understand where Amazon is struggling and how to improve, an analysis of the company must

be made. While we know Amazon's overall hierarchical structure, we need more information on it's

lower level dynamics. We will involve all areas of Amazon as it is an international company. Once the

key issues have been identified we can begin to plan and then implement changes using the

three$-$step model. Through this model Amazon can create an objective statement that will be

communicated across the company. Since Amazon is a top competitor across various industries, it's

difficult to decide best practices from other corporations. Through the three$-$step model the company

can undergo new experimental processes and develop its own best practices during the $($Belcourt &

new business process and training to ensure the employees are well informed and that new
