Level 1 lays the foundation for effective business presentations based on principles of emotional intelligence that aid in the effort to connect with an audience. As suggested in the Level 1 material, emotions influence decision making. As such, a strong connection with the target audience is imperative. Level 1 activities introduce the following concepts:

• emotional motivation
• Building your team
• Choose the emotional motivator
• Building a relationship
• reading the room
• Emotional interview
• Tracks in the surroundings

As you reflect on the material offered in the Presentation Skills Course and develop your work, consider prior learning and previous work experience in addition to the material presented. Disagreeing with the principles presented in Level 1 is appropriate. However, do not reject the principles offered out of hand. Support acceptance or rejection of the principles offered with critical thinking and sound reasoning. To complete this task, you will need to select one of the approaches offered in one of the videos above to refer to the points below.

• Compare and contrast the selected approach with the selected approach in the EI Games Level 1: Presentation Skills Course.
• Summarize a minimum of four significant differences between the selected approach and the selected approach in the EI Games Level 1: Presentation Skills Course.
